What’s the Difference Between Meditation and Hypnosis?

Hypnosis and Meditation are very similar. They both induce extremely beneficial, deeply relaxing and calming states of mind that can help you become more positive, calm and stress-free. Both are states of relaxation, heightened focus and concentration.

The main difference is hypnosis tends for focus more directly on a goal to achieve positive change  – such a becoming more confident, overcoming fear or anxiety, staying motived to eat better and exercise, manage stress, sleep better or to quit smoking.

With both hypnosis and guided meditation, you will not be asleep. You will hear everything said and will remember everything that takes place. Hypnosis works creating a very relaxed state which will allow for increased response to suggestibility. The hypnotic feeling is very similar to how you feel in the evening just prior to falling asleep.

Hypnosis is helpful for breaking bad habits, it is the glue that helps motive you to stick to your goals. Hypnosis will allow for you to make changes on a subconscious level. Through hypnosis will be able to re-program a belief you have.
